National Gardens Scheme
Five gardens will be open for the NGS on Sunday 28 and Monday 29 May, from 2 to 6 pm. These are Bridge Cottage, Fleur de Lys, Amport Park Mews and Sandleford House in Amport and White Gables in Monxton.
Parking is available by the Village Green in Amport (by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Talbot Rice), and next to the Village Hall in Monxton (by kind permission of Mrs Veronica Rushworth Lund). There is limited parking at Amport Riding School for those with mobility difficulties, (courtesy of Richard and Marie Hale). Cream teas will be served in the Village Hall. Last year we raised over £3,000 which the NGS donated to various charities such as MacMillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie. All profits from the teas were given to Monxton church.
There will be a fantastic Plant Sale at Bridge Cottage.
Adults £6 (for all the gardens), children under 15 are free. Do come and enjoy an afternoon viewing interesting and varied gardens.
